Caroline Nightingale

Role: Teaching Assistant

I’m Caroline Nightingale and I’m currently a Teaching Assistant in Year 1.  I started working at Marlborough in 2012.

I’m married to Mike and we live in Penylan with two teenagers, a dog and two cats.

We moved to Cardiff in 2006 after 3.5 years living in Leiden in the Netherlands.  I love it here!

I’m originally from the Wirral (so I’m a “plastic Scouser”!) and used to work in sales and logistics in the chemical industry before having children.

I love languages: my degree was in French and German, I did an intensive Dutch course when we moved to the Netherlands and have dabbled in Arabic with Cardiff University’s Lifelong Learning Department.

In my free time I enjoy travelling to new places with my family.  Our favourite city so far is Istanbul – absolutely beautiful!

My favourite TV programme is Spiral – a very gritty French police drama – and my favourite comedian is Greg Davies.  I love lots of different music but my all-time favourite band is The Smiths.  My favourite food is curry.

My top character strength is humour.
